New Jersey young adult, Donovan Jones, is a Praise and Worship artist. He loves to give God praise. He is a multi-talented force who displays amazing range in vocals, soothing sounds on the guitar and resonates every beat on the drum. Donovan released his debut single “First in My Sight” this past summer. First in My Sight is a praise and worship chant, that he hopes when you listen to it, will compel you to cast all your cares upon God and put him first in your sight.
Donovan feels humbled that “First in My Sight” has been nominated in the category of Praise and Worship Artist of the Year, Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year, Praise and Worship Male Vocalist of the Year, and Youth/Young Adult Artist of the Year for the 2018: 10th Annual Rhythm of Gospel Music Award show in Greenville, South Carolina.
Though Donovan has been singing early on in his life, he began his professional music journey with the New Jersey music group Special Ensemble at the age of 10, performing at Madison Square Garden, opening for Gospel legend Tye Tribbet and winning the McDonald’s Gospel Fest.
Donovan does not shy away from his ministry and loves to pour into his generation of gospel enthusiasts and worshipers. In addition to releasing his new single this past summer, he has also started his college journey and is currently studying Pastoral Ministries, Worship and the Arts. He wants God to use him to help him bring more to Christ.
